Finding your inner You

Hey guys! It’s me FitMomFee and I’m back after a short little break. Well it’s been 65 days since I worked at my job and let me tell you I don’t feel as stressed out as I did when I was working. Side note if you feel stressed out at a job find something that is more your beat, I encourage everyone to try to step out and start a business because if you do what you love it will be like you are not working at all. That’s my goal to retire by age 50 and run my own business. I am a hard worker and a lot of companies out here don’t care about their employees nor appreciate what you bring to the table they don’t want to pay you for your transferable skills and even if you have a degree.

“No matter how important you are to your job or how important you think you are, you will always be a piece in a machine. Which means you can be easily and cheaply replaced. – Kingofskypiea ” The only time you have true value is when you work in a small group because the bigger the machine the less valuable the parts become; for example in a corporation. Why waste your time, I’m here to tell you stand up for you, know your worth, have confidence in yourself, and you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. And if your don’t want to run your own business make yourself become invaluable so that losing you would hurt the company more then keeping you.

Start doing things for yourself which can lead to a greater power. Research, study, and read. Try to learn 5 different things a day, read a book, listen to an audiobook, or research a topic you don’t know much about. Learning is endless and knowledge is power. Look at the bigger picture which is finding yourself, finding your M.O. Remember make yourself invaluable.

The Internal Shield of Armor

Have you ever thought of how you can go into a room of people that are sick and come out. Then a couple days later you’re not even sick. You’re probably wondering like “wow I didn’t touch anybody I avoided people at all costs when I went in the room full of people coughing and sneezing” ,but the reality is you can still get sick even if you don’t touch people or have any contact. We inhale germs every day, we touch surfaces with germs every single day. We the people fail to realize the reality is that you can come in contact with a germ multiple times a day. You would think by now, as many viruses, diseases, and germs out there, everyone would have a better lifestyle, a healthy lifestyle with what they consume in their bodies day-to-day.

Literally today I went into a store and I just took a walk-through looked around, there was literally minimal water, no multivitamins, no vitamin C, no hand sanitizer, no gloves, no antibacterial soap, no cough drops and the list goes on. I see most people are trying to get the right idea about trying to prevent something ,but all these little things are not going to immediately have an effect on your body. If everyone practiced a healthy lifestyle we all wouldn’t be rushing to the store, like a chicken running around with its’ head cut off, trying to get products to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

That’s why today my post is going to be about building your immune system. Let me ask this do you know exactly what two vitamins work together to help your body have better absorption of vitamins and This vitamin-and-mineral combo will help keep your bones healthy. “Vitamin D helps bring in more calcium from the foods you eat and the supplements you take,” says Ginger Hultin, RD, a Seattle-based spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. “The two work together because the active vitamin D form causes a cascade of effects that increases the absorption of dietary calcium in the intestines. To get this pairing right, eat foods offering vitamin D, such as salmon, tuna, egg yolks or fortified foods like milk and non-dairy beverages such as soymilk and orange juice. Eat a variety of calcium-providing foods, including collard greens, broccoli, dried figs, oranges and dairy foods (Gorin).”

Vitamin C and iron go hand and hand together. “To best absorb non-heme iron, aka plant-based iron, you need to give it a little boost by pairing it with a source of vitamin C. The vitamin C helps break the iron down into a form that the body can more easily absorb. It’s not enough to eat a daily diet that contains both nutrients — absorption of the iron will be much greater if the nutrients are paired in a single meal, according to research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (Gorin).”

“Staying hydrated can boost your immune health too, Zumpano says. Water helps your body produce lymph, which carries white blood cells and other immune system cells. Try to avoid overdoing beverages that can made you dehydrated, like coffee. Or try eating more hydrating foods, such as cucumbers, celery or watermelon (Cleveland clinic).”

In addition to the already given information, I’ve come across in my own studies in that fruit is one of the number one ways to boost your immune system. “One of the best immune-boosting foods is fruit, due to their high content of polyphenols, especially flavonoids. Studies have found that eating fruit before exercise helps to reduce inflammation, oxidative stress and immune dysfunction in the body after exercise. Polyphenols are also found in nuts and vegetables, tea and coffee. But to maintain these benefits, there must be consistency, rather than a quick fix of smoothies and juices in the run-up to flu season (kateman).”

Lastly, your stomach health is very important and contributes a lot to a healthy immune system. Have you ever noticed when you gain weight it usually goes to your stomach and it’s normally the last place you lose fat. 🤔

To sum it up, a healthy gut can help subsidize to a strong immune system, and the key to a healthy gut is a healthy diet and fiber, I guarantee that you probably didn’t think that there’s organisms in you colon that feed off of fiber that you consume.

“One of the ways you can stay fighting fit is to stock up on gut-friendly, polyphenol-rich, vitamin-full fruits and vegetables. Of course, this alone won’t prevent transmission of coronavirus or any other viruses, as we also need to stay vigilant with hand-washing and staying indoors when symptoms occur. But it’sone way we can ensure our immune system is best equipped to keep us healthy (kateman).”

There’s much more research with in itself you can come across to take the most preventive methods from contracting any type of disease, virus, or infection. It’s up to you to be a good to your body, we only get one. Your body acts as a plant and a plant needs nutrients and water to grow. Until next time!
